RMU held creative school in Soria (Spain)
From July 15 to 19, 2017 in the city of Soria (Spain), the first European Creative School of the Russian Musical Union was held.
The teachers of the school were young Russian musicians, laureates of international competitions: the head of the Association of Young Musicians Performers of the RMU, Andrey Yaroshinsky (piano), Nikita Borisoglebsky (violin) and Nikita Zimin (saxophone).
Rich program of the course included a gala concert opening at which the musicians of the school performed Rachmaninov, Frank, Brahms music and three-day master classes at the Soria State Conservatory. Three open lessons with the professor was conducted with each of the students of the school, and the most striking participants of the project performed at the concluding concert together with the course teachers. All students received certificates of the course from the RMU, and the musicians who distinguished themselves during the period were invited to perform in the cities of Spain next season (concerts will be supported by one of the largest music funds in Spain – Fundacion Eutherpe and the Russian Cultural Center in Madrid).
A lot of thank-you letters were received by the organizers of the project, and the overwhelming majority of the participants asked to include them in classes for the next year. Full house concerts, the support of the authorities of the city, attention of cultural figures and public organizations confirmed once again the enormous interest of the European listeners in the Russian performing school. The new international project of the RMU has become an excellent embodiment of the mission of the Union, which is to support Russian music in the broadest sense.
