Competition "Film Song" was held with the support of RMU

On October 10, with the support of the Russian Musical Union, in St. Petersburg the final of the V International Music Festival “Film Song” was held. The competition was held as part of the “Aurora” Film and Television Music Festival.

“Film Song” is a competition aimed at identifying the most talented and promising songwriters and placing their compositions in feature films. This year, the festival’s geography has expanded significantly: composers and performers from various cities of Russia, as well as Ukraine, Belarus, Turkmenistan, Germany, the USA, and Israel arrived in the northern capital. In total, about 400 applications were received for the competition, and only 30 participants were able to submit their songs in the final.

The Grand Prize of the competition was won by Nikolai Tarasov (Berlin) with the song “My Angel” (lyrics by Lilia Mindubaeva, music by Nikolai Tarasov). Awards were also given for the best performance of a film song, the best lyrics for a film song, the best music for a film song and the best arrangement of a film song.
