Spectators of the third concert of the “Book of Books” series made a musical immersion in the atmosphere of a winter holiday
The January concert from the “Book of Books” series became a symbolic continuation of the Christmas holidays. This time, guests of the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve and viewers of the online broadcast heard music inspired by the biblical story of the birth of Jesus Christ, a sacred event that marked the beginning of a new era of Christianity. The mysterious page of human existence was a fundamental theme in the work of most artists, writers and composers. Some wrote, trying to comprehend the miracle of the sacrament, others followed the call of the heart, others fulfilled the instruction of high-ranking spiritual dignitaries, which does not at all detract from the significance of the created works. Therefore, the colorful evening, traditionally organized by Russian Musical Union and Russian Jewish Congress, has become more than an ordinary concert. The audience not only heard outstanding works performed by wonderful musicians, but also got a brilliant opportunity to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of creating a masterpiece. Throughout the evening, the host of the program and curator of the project, Eleonora Krasovskaya, preceded the performances of the artists with a fascinating story of how the works were created. It is gratifying that along with the great names in the chamber Atrium of Khlebny Dom, not so often performed authors, including modern ones, sounded.
