RMU and MCME will host the Second Performers Workshop of Modern Academic Music

From June 28 to July 5, the Second Performers Workshop of Modern Academic Music will be held in Moscow. The hosts of the event are the Association of Contemporary Academic Music of the Guild of Composers of Russian Musical Union and Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble (MCME).

The goal of the workshop is to improve professional skills of young musicians performing modern academic music, including with the use of advanced performing techniques. The events will be held in the GROUND Solyanka Gallery and Workshop and the Theater and Cultural Center named after V. Meyerhold.

90 applications were submitted for participation in the workshop, and only 40 people were selected for the training – students of music universities and young performers. Anyone who is willing to participate in the workshop may do so as non-resident students, subject to prior registration.

Students will have joint rehearsals and lectures, where they will not only improve their performing skills, but also interact with MCME soloists and contemporary Russian composers.
