RMU and the Saratov Conservatory host the XIII International Competition for Young Composers named after A.G. Schnittke
The Guild of Young Musicians “International MolOt” of Russian Musical Union and the Department of Music Theory and Composition of the Saratov State Conservatory named after L.V. Sobinov, host the XIII International Competition for Young Composers named after A.G. Schnittke.
The goal of the project is to help the creative formation and opening up the personalities of young composers and performers of contemporary music, and to reveal new names in the modern world of composers.
The competition will be held in two rounds in two nominations: composition for a chamber ensemble and composition for a young organist. From October 1 to 15, the jury of the competition will choose the best scores that will be performed by the Theater of New Music ensemble from November 24 to 26 at public auditions and a gala concert. In addition, within the framework of the competition, lectures and master classes by members of the jury – Yaroslav Sudzilovsky, Snezhana Pyslar, Sergey Polozov, Vladimir Michelet – will be held.
Young composers under the age of 30, students and graduates of musical educational institutions, young members of the Russian Musical Union and other specialized associations can take part in the competition.
Finalists of the competition will receive diplomas and titles of laureates and diploma winners.
