The vocal competition "Jose Carreras Grand Prix" has completed acceptance of applications
The Obraztsova Foundation has completed accepting applications for the International Vocal Competition “Jose Carreras Grand Prix”. The organizers received 287 applications from 30 countries.
Musicians from Austria, Azerbaijan, Argentina, Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Brazil, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Italy, Kazakhstan, Canada, China, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Mongolia, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Serbia, USA, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, France, Croatia, Estonia, South Korea, and Japan have expressed their desire to participate in the competition.
The competition will take place on the stages of the Zaryadye Moscow Concert Hall and the Helikon-Opera Musical Theater from November 30 to December 6, 2020.
This year, young performers aged 18 to 32 with the voices of soprano, mezzo-soprano, tenor, as well as musicians aged 18 to 34 with baritone and bass voices can participate in the competition. 15 prizes and one Grand Prix will be awarded for each type of voice.
Mr. Jose Carreras will be the chairman of the jury. It will also include Dame Gwyneth Jones, Dolora Zadzhik, Makvala Kasrashvili, Rafaella Murdolo, Christina Shepelman, Alessandro Ariosi, Lorenzo Bavai, Dmitry Vdovin, David Jimenez.
