MolOt Festival presented the Russian composition school in Warsaw (Poland)
From 6 to 11 April 2017, the V International MolOt Festival was held in Warsaw organized by the Russian Musical Union (RMU) and the Youth Department of the Russian Composers Union (MolOt) with the assistance of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Warsaw, the Frederic Chopin Music University, the Association of Young Composers of Poland and the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Poland.
In Warsaw, on April 7, a meeting of the MolOt delegation with young composers, critics and writers took place at the Russian Center for Science and Culture. In the evening of the same day a concert took place in the Center, in which the People’s Artist of Russia, Sergey Sudzilovsky (cello), Honored Artist of Russia, conductor, professor of the Moscow Conservatory, Mark Pekarsky (drums), laureates of international competitions Maria Sabelkina (piano), Marina Sudzilovskaya (viola) and Yaroslav Sudzilovsky (cello). Classical works, and the music of contemporary authors were performed there. The program included works by Franz Liszt, Frederic Chopin, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Krzysztof Penderecki, Sofia Gubaidulina, Vladimir Martynov, Victor Ekimovsky, Aram Khachaturian, Steve Reich.
