Russian and German musicians played a piece of music for four hands at IPQuorum
At the International Strategic Forum on Intellectual Property “IPQuorum 2018: Intellectual Property is the New Player of the Global Market and Digital Economy. Strategy, Trends, Industries”, an agreement was signed between the Russian Musical Union and the German Musical Council, which provides for a continuous exchange of information and regular dialogue on mutually significant musical and cultural policies issues.
The document was signed by Chairman of the Russian Musical Union Andrei Krichevsky and President of the German Musical Council Martin Maria Krueger. The guiding principle of dialogue between organizations is the UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of Cultural Diversity.
As Andrey Krichevsky noted: “Education and culture are key elements for mutual understanding between people and countries. We strive to strengthen creative ties and discover new musical talents for citizens of both countries.”
At the ceremony, the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Vsevolod Zaderatsky emphasized the importance of continuity in the development of traditional creative ties, recalling that: “Russian Union of Composers together with the German Musical Council have a long history of joint projects of the Soviet era, in particular, festivals in dozens of Russian and German cities. And today’s event allows us to hope for a multiplication of the best traditions.”
