Russian Musical Union held the ROSISME Academy in Irkutsk

On December 13 and 14, as part of the educational programs of Russian Musical Union and Russian National Section of the International Society for Music Education at UNESCO (ROSISME), a series of master classes by famous performers for young musicians was held.

For two days, students of music schools and students of colleges, institutes and conservatories from the regions of Siberia, as well as Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod, took part in the master classes. The youngest participants were seven years old. Someone came from afar – like, for example, a student of the School of Arts No. 1 of Ust-Ilimsk, Yegor Gusakov, who traveled 900 km to Irkutsk with his teacher. The student of the Nizhny Novgorod Conservatory Pham Ngoc Zang (Vietnam) did not miss the chance to gain new knowledge. Young musicians got the opportunity to perform various works under the guidance of experienced mentors, as well as watch and listen to how their peers play.

In addition, the master classes have become a platform for advanced training of more than 20 teachers from the Irkutsk region and Buryatia: upon graduation, they received certificates from the ROSISME Academy.

On December 14 in the grand hall of the Irkutsk College of Music named after F. Chopin, the final concert of the participants of the master classes took place.
